Behavioural Data Analysis - D.O.D

Updated: Jun 4, 2020

The centre console in my interface is going to show extra information about a selected piece of data. This idea has changed from showing a Unity data visualisation. I am now focusing on helping the user by giving them some kind of structure they can follow, what's expected from them when submitting an inference.

This console will present data analysis when a piece of data is selected. For example, if a social media post is clicked, data such as the date the subject uploaded it, the location, number of likes and comments will appear. I feel this data could prove useful when making inferences about the subject. For example, if one post has over 1000 likes, this could possibly mean the subject has a lot of friends. From this, things about their personality can be inferred. Another example, when microphone data is selected, a transcript detailing what words are heard will display; 'hey google turn on the lamp'. From this transcript, you could infer the subject uses IoT decides, and then submit an advert for them.

The images below shows the current stage of design for this centre console:

I plan to make this part of the interface represent an algorithm a lot more than it does right now. Ways I am thinking of achieving this is by adding some sort of animation to the centre icon, maybe a loading feature, or an analysing animation.
